    Xanadu

Meant to give the puzzle one star, not five. See review below.

    Dear Saranga,

We originally commissioned the illustrations for the Children of the World Puzzle for a set of Wall Cards. That product included the explanation below, which we forgot to include when we created the puzzle. Thanks so much for bringing this oversight to our attention! We will correct it when we reprint the puzzle!

eeBoo’s Children of the World Art Cards feature illustrations of children from countries starting with every letter of the alphabet. Since no modern country starts with the letter “X”, we chose to feature a child from Xanadu. Xanadu, in what is now Inner Mongolia, was the summer capital of Emperor Kublai Khan’s empire until approximately 1369. Outside of China, Kublai Khan was primarily known for his meeting with the great explorer Marco Polo. The Romantic poet, Samuel Taylor Coleridge, described the emperor's beautiful palace in his poem, Kubla Khan.

We hope that these cards will encourage children to imagine faraway people and offer a chance to relate to distant cultures. Children come in all shapes and sizes, wear different clothes, play with different toys, eat different food and yet have many things in common. There are millions of children from these countries and others across the world, millions of faces and millions of stories, all beautiful!

    Where is Xanadu??

Cute puzzle but where is Xanadu?? Is it referring to the inner capital city in Mongolia (which I had to look up)?? It’s not even a country and it is so odd to include it - and so confusing to little ones (and parents) when we can’t find it on maps or much info about it. Very very disappointing and wish I could return this. Feels like misinformation rather than educational. Where is your quality control Eeboo?

    Poor quality control

The idea of the puzzle is perfect for the beginning puzzler. The issue we had was the pieces that were bent or the many pieces that separated in half. My husband is now trying to glue them back together. This was not a cheap puzzle. I expected more from a product sold at Nordstrom’s.

Hi Terese, Thank you for your purchase, we are so sorry to hear your puzzle is not perfect! We take manufacturing quality extremely seriously and would love to fix this issue. Unfortunately, we cannot replace individual pieces because we cannot guarantee a replacement piece will fit snuggly. However, we are happy to send you a whole new puzzle of your choice free of charge.

Please go to www.eeboo.com/form to submit your request for a replacement. We do ask a couple of questions so we can track all concerns and prevent any quality issues in the future. We truly appreciate your feedback!

Our customer service team will reach out to you as soon as possible to help. Please note that we are experiencing delays due to COVID-19.

Hope you and your family are staying safe and healthy! If you have any further questions or issues with the form please let us know.

    Fabulous puzzle for kids

This is a fabulous puzzle for kids but adults will love the images too. Eeboo makes very high-quality puzzles for kids. The pieces are a great size for small hands and provide helpful clues with the borders for placing pieces. The art is so lovely.
