Puzzle your way through eeBoo’s Viva La Vida 1000 Piece Puzzle, an homage to Frida Kahlo, illustrated by Petra Braun (@petrabraunillustration). Jigsaw puzzles are a great activity for the whole family to enjoy.
“I was a child who went about in a world of colors… My friends, my companions, became women slowly; I became old in instants.” - Frida Kahlo
Her back was broken, not her will;
Her paintings live and haunt us still;
Introspection, beauty, pain;
That's what her life and art contain.
It’s so dissatisfying getting a 1000 piece puzzle together and 4 pieces are missing. Just want to finish my puzzle. Asking for replacement parts & the choices don’t have this Frida puzzle available as a replacement even though they have it on their website. I just want to finish my Viva La Vida puzzle. 4 pieces off so Disappointed ☹️ It was beautiful
This Frida Kahlo puzzle was fun to put together and I love the image: the colors are bright, and there is good variety in the design. It's probably one of my favorite puzzle images of all-time. It was challenging without being frustrating. The glossy finish isn't my favorite for jigsaws, but I didn't mind it for this puzzle. I agree with the reviewer that the pieces don't stick together tightly, so it can seem like some pieces fit together when they don't. The pieces are thinner than I'm used to with high-quality puzzles, like the Ravensburger brand, and the connector part of pieces would sometimes bend or rip if caught on another piece. The company has a great policy to replace lost or damaged pieces, but since I don't keep or frame puzzles, I'm solely interested in a good puzzling experience. I love the puzzle designs, and I was hoping to buy more from eeBoo, especially because I want to support an indie company that is "woman owned, mother run, and sustainably sourced," but I may hold off for a while until the quality improves.
I've done many 300 & 500 piece puzzles and a couple of 750, so I hesitated to buy this puzzle. But the graphics and my curiosity of their meanings won over the intimidations of a 1000 piece-er. I really enjoyed putting it together SLOWLY and am considering doing it again.
I love the glossy top of the pieces and the velvety bottoms but my only complaint is that the pieces don't stick together tightly.
This was such a beautiful puzzle to work on. The graphics and illustrations were inspiring, and the puzzle was challenging (the flowers and the vines were the toughest.). The finished product is vibrant and Everyone I’ve shown it to has responded with such joy and surprise!
